We have members in over 50 counties and 16 countries and growing!! We would like to give our European members/partners the opportunity to tell us their story, kick starting this page is Legambiente Turismo in Italy;  Our head Office in Bologna, quite uncomfortable but truly majestic! Legambiente Turismo is the national tourism department of Legambiente. Since 1997 it has been committed to sustainability in tourism, including promotion of local quality produce, living rural/mountain communities; urban quality of life. Protection of nature, culture and heritage and the improvement of environmental quality of tourist accommodation and destination to achieve a long-term competitive advantage have been our shared objectives with communities, farmers and tourist businesses. Constant awareness raising activities have involved over a thousand tourist businesses in the years and have given the organisation a great experience with adapting sustainable criteria to different local business conditions, training and auditing and with monitoring of environmental results. In 2010 (June) Legambiente Turismo counts over 400 hundred ecolabelled members, ranging from accommodation businesses to other tourist services.
